The projects presented in this category were all made during the Production and Technologies of Music course, at the Music and Performing Arts School, Polytechnic of Porto.

AC BRUVIE - MASHUP

Project carried out within the scope of the Technologies of Music course.
The general objectives of this piece consisted in the conception and production of a musical theme from the combination of two or more disctint themes. The musical excerpts used in this project were obtained from multitrack versions of the original songs. To achieve a reasonable result, the piece required a critical audition and analysis of several songs in order to explore their full potencial.
For the accomplishment of this project, the mixing was done in Bitwig Studio.

LEWITT CONTEST - MIXING

Project carried out within the scope of the Audio Systems and Techniques course.
This piece consisted of mixing the various audio tracks in order to prepare the students for a real world situation. The general objectives were to explore and apply processing and mixing techniques in a multitrack environment and develop skills in mastery of hearing through objective and subjective criteria. The multitrack was given by the Professor.
For the accomplishment of this project, the mixing was done in Reaper.

KINDER BUENO - ADVERTISEMENT

Project carried out within the scope of the Musical Production course.
The general objectives of this piece consisted in the conception, production and understanding of the interaction of the musical part in a multimedia contex, with the specific function of an advertisement. In this way, the music sound sources were mainly virtual, electric and acoustic instruments and the entire creative process was developed from scratch, including the foley effects.
For the accomplishment of this project, the mixing was done in Reaper.

UTOPIA - TV SHOW OPENING

Project carried out within the scope of the Musical Production course.
The general objectives of this piece consisted in the conception, production and understanding of the interaction of the musical part in a multimedia contex, with the specific function of a TV Show Opening.
In this way, the music sound sources were mainly virtual and acoustic instruments and the entire creative process was developed from scratch. The foley samples were taken from Epidemic Sound and subquently edited.
For the accomplishment of this project, the mixing was done in Reaper.
The original TV Show is UTOPIA (2020), created by Gillian Flynn.
